Why I blog...

Blogging has become so commonplace in this day and age that it’s almost impossible to find someone who isn’t doing it so, what makes this blog unique?

Must reads!

I am fiercely proud of every blog post that I write and that is because I wholeheartedly invest in each post. I feel deeply and passionately about each topic that I address and hope that you can sense that as you read these posts. Now, proud of every post though I am, there are still some posts that I have written that really stand out to me because of the background story that they have.
Some posts were written during periods of great suffering and sorrow and grief.
Some posts were born from a period of transition in my life that I go back and reflect on.
Other posts were born out of sincere and deep moments of connections with loved ones which left me feeling energised, motivated and inspired.

And then there are other posts that seem to be “epiphanies” that just pop into my brain while I’m making dinner or folding laundry and as I begin fleshing my thoughts, it feels like the blog post takes on a life of its own. Those are the best kind of posts to write because it feels like the thoughts and words just flow and it’s pure magic! And it’s these moments of pure magic that I want to share with you in this section!

Below this paragraph you will find a slideshow of my top five “magical moments” that I have called “Must Reads.” It was hard to pick just five blogs to showcase but I thought to myself that if  I had just one chance to show you either something that I wanted you to know about me or share with you something that is really close to my heart, what would that be? Asking these questions is what guided me in picking my “must reads.”

Christ in the mess…

God answers the mess of life with one word: "grace." - Max Lucado I am a Christian – by no means am I a perfect one (and I highly doubt that there is such a thing as a perfect Christian!) – but I do strive to be a Christ-follower and to live for Jesus with all I have....

So, about those new year’s resolutions…

"Write it on your heart that everyday is the best day in the year." - Ralph Waldo Emerson "Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." - Oprah WinfreySo, with January being done and dusted, I think that it is safe to say that 2018 is well underway...

Living and learning

"Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way." - Al Franken "I am not someone who is ashamed of my past. I'm actually really proud. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but...

The Gift Of Suffering (Part 2)

"Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my...

The Gift Of Suffering (Part 1)

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." - Helen Keller NOTE: This is something I wrote a while back - back in 2013 - and I decided to post...

Now, let me say that there are more blog posts below the “must reads” and that you can find my latest post in the sidebar on the right, but the blog posts in this section are really some of the things that are near and dear to me that I would love to share with you. I hope that as you read my thoughts, you will sometimes catch yourself smiling and laughing at what I have to say; that you will sometimes be challenged to consider a viewpoint that is perhaps vastly different to your own and that you will occasionally learn a thing or two.

P.S. Don’t forget to comment with your thoughts at the end of each post because I would love to hear from you!

More for you to enjoy...

I really hope that you love to read as much as I love to write! Here is even more of my work dated from newest to oldest and I hope that you thoroughly enjoy yourself!

Let's create something beautiful together!

Collaborations interest me. I think part of the reason they rouse my attention is because I’m pretty interested and open to the idea of collaborating with people from all over because sometimes – if not most times – more can be achieved when working together with people as a part of a team as opposed to “flying solo.”
The other part is because I think that collaborations can be a fun, interesting, enriching and wonderful learning experience for all involved.

So, if you reckon that we could work well together on one of your upcoming projects and the idea of teamwork appeals to you, then I want to hear from you!

To explore the possibilities on how we can work together…

Let's get social!

I love engaging with you and hearing your thoughts, comments and feedback, so don't be shy and drop a comment below each post you read and don't forget to connect with me on social media!
